The Powell River movie theatre has some major history behind it, including the latest 'flood'.
The Powell River movie theatre in 2016 'flooded' and the building had to be redone, the chairs and speakers. The movie theatre was used for plays, concerts, shows, comedies, and now, movies. The walls have amazing paintings placed all around the inside. The roof may still have smoke stains from 'the Golden Age'.
